Idaho to host wolf hunting derby despite green group objections

Congratulations and kudos to Idaho. Despite the Bureau of Land Management’s prohibition on the event taking place, according to Perfect Science the state has decided it will host its annual wolf hunting derby on US Forest Service and private land near Salmon, Idaho.

Back in November, the BLM canceled the group hosting the wolf hunt’s special permit to use 3 million acres of Bureau of Land Management land when a number of environmentalist groups (such as the Center for Biological Diversity) threatened to file suit. Though the area where the event will take place is reduced to half the area, because of the controversy, it has persuaded more hunters to participate in it this year.
