PETA is no stranger to controversy. The human hate group is known not only for its racy magazine adds involving nude actresses and models that come with captions urging people either to not eat meat or refuse to wear coats made of animal fur. The group also is known to give financial, legal, and moral support to the Animal Liberation Front which is a designated terrorist group by the FBI.

Now the cult … er … organization has released a new video that attempts to shock people into not eating meat by demonstrating what chickens go through using virtual reality at a slaughterhouse at every stage. I suppose one could consider PETA’s I, Chicken film an improvement since in 2013 the group released a video just in time for Thanksgiving where a young boy is mistaken for a turkey and is subjected to the slaughter process.

According to The Huffington Post:

The little boy’s nose gets cut off like a turkey’s beak, he is drugged with the antibiotics turkeys are fed, he is electrocuted in a bath that paralyzes turkeys, and dipped into a tub of scalding water meant to de-feather the birds.

PETA is quite open about their intention with videos like these in which they are geared to strike fear into people in order to convince them not to eat meat. Never mind that vegans kill with their diets too. Except the life forms they murder are the crops that are harvested in order to feed them. Plants are living organisms. Though they do not think or have reflexes like animals and humans they are still alive. So one could say that vegetarians are murderers of a sort but I guess its a different kind or no big deal to them since they have accepted the contradiction and refuse to consider the matter further.

I will be so bold as to state that the videos of humans being subjected to animal slaughter isn’t so much that they want humans to know what animals go through. I think, deep down inside, PETA would prefer humans be the ones subjected to what chickens and turkeys go through. Though they do not openly say it, the intent of the chicken and turkey videos is obviously to show who they prefer to be slaughtered. Check out the video of Thanks! and see for yourself.

Then consider the words of PETA co-founder and head Ingrid Newkirk:

Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughter houses.
