Former PeTA employee Heather Harper-Troje was interviewed recently on Virginia TV station WVEC. Troje gave an exclusive interview in which she reaffirmed her allegations that she was order to not only steal, but kill peta and falsify (i.e. lie) records in order to hide PeTA’s true intent. I can appreciate her speaking out in light of the incident in November involving Wilbur Cerate’s chihuahua, the fact that she waited fifteen years until now to speak out might affect her credibility.

However, Ms. Harper-Troje’s story is consistent not only with what happened Wilbur Cerate’s dog, but also with what has been reported with PeTA’s euthanizing animals and the deception they use(d) in order to obtain them. It is not so much the fact that PeTA euthanizes animals, but I find the practice odd and somewhat hypocritical since I think a no-kill shelter would be more consistent with the goals and principles of the group.

You can watch the news report on Ms. Harper-Troje’s interview as well as the unedited version here.

Regardless of the PeTA’s stated intent, it is abundantly clear through the group and other animal rights organization activities throughout the years claiming to further the humane treatment of animals is really about the animalistic treatment of humans. Animal rights groups not only lie about the activities that go on in places like slaughter houses, medical laboratories and farms they also oppose the use of animals for domestic purposes including companionship and consumption. A puritanistic attitude grounded in the hatred of mankind.
