One anti-vaccine group is going to add a little more scare to your Halloween this year. The National Vaccine Information Center (aka NVIC) has produced some stickers that are sized enough to be placed on Halloween candy and encourages parents to place them on the candy they hand out to kids. When the group premiered this idea on their Facebook page it instantly drew criticism.

The NVIC sounds like an official and credible organization but it is anything but that. The organization regularly provides information based on falsehoods if not outright lies to make their case. For example, not only do they claim vaccines cause autism (a statement long discredited) but the group uses instances of injury from vaccines (which are extremely rare) as proof vaccines are harmful. One article on Slate published during March of last year briefly outlined the case NVIC makes using a billboard campaign the group undertook and points out the false statements they made.

Because of groups like NVIC diseases once thought eradicated have made a comeback. The video below explains why you should vaccinate you and your kids.
