PETA Won’t Condemn Hamas For Using Animal Weapons

Israel’s Government Press Office released photos on Tuesday taken at the Nature and Parks Authority showing Hamas’s use of innocent creatures for terror attacks. The photos were of a kite made up of a dead falcon that was flown across the Gaza-Israel border from Gaza with flammable material harnessed to its tail. It is one of many devices the terrorist group has used to conduct arson attacks since late March.

World Israel News reached out to PETA’s senior Vice President Dan Matthews requesting comment since the areas affected by Hamas’s terror attacks included nature reserves in which photographs not only of the dead falcon but also two other animals present in which might have been their habitat. WIN also asked Matthews if he or the group that he speaks for would also condemn Hamas.

Matthews forwarded WIN‘s request to PETA head Ingrid Newkirk who condemned the use of animals as weapons of war and that humans should show animals mercy. No word from Newkirk if PETA would condemn Hamas and no response yet when pressed by WIN if the human hate group will demand Hamas stop using animals for terrorist attacks and if they plan on pressure campaigns like they have done to other organizations.

PETA’s silence is defeaning. The group obviously won’t condemn Hamas because they probably know they could be caught in a catch 22 due to the terrorist groups they have supported and the legal bullying tactics they have used on others over the years. Then again, aside from their lose use of the term Holocaust, there is a large animal rights community in Israel but it speaks volumes when a major pro-animal group won’t condemn an organization who has openly said they will kill Jews and destroy Israel. Terrorists and Jew haters of a feather flock together.
