California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a number of bills backed by People for the Extortion, Torture and Abuse of human beings (PETA). They will ban most animals for use in circus events and the manufacture and sale of fur products by 2023, that will result in the loss of hundreds, if not thousands, of jobs.

All states bordering California should encourage building malls along their borders with California to sell fur and host circuses that use animals in their acts. In the meantime, it’s a good thing the Golden State did this despite the state’s worsening homeless problem. It’s more important to ban animal products and certain circus acts rather than address California’s growing homeless population.
