Climate change for thee but not for me!

Leonardo DiCaprio and his model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti were spotted arriving in Mexico on a private jet amid the devastating LA fires.

While more than 100,000 people have been evacuated and several of his A-list peers, including Tom HanksAnthony Hopkins, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, have seen their homes destroyed, DiCaprio was seen landing in Cabo San Lucas on Friday.

Given Leo’s reputation as an environmental advocate, it raised eyebrows that he would take a private jet during such a major natural disaster affecting his own community.

Not only does DiCaprio makes extensive use of private airflight that results in tons of annual carbon emissions that he likely justifies by purchasing carbon offsets while, according to the Daily Mail, his foundation has doled out at least $80 million in grants to climate-related causes.

However, in many ways, DiCaprio’s actions aren’t surprising. He has the money and facilities to escape Los Angeles, so he did. But it doesn’t mean he won’t be called out when he acts like a hypocrite.
