Two years ago, New York Governor Kathy Hohul signed into law a bill that fores fossil fuel companies to pay $75 billion for their carbon emissions allegedly linked to human caused climate change. Even a budget official with the governor’s office weighed in last month.

As a result, New York utility bills are through the roof and the governor has backtracked proposing to loosen statute.

However, to no one’s surprise, environmentalists aren’t having it.
