Mark Ruffalo seeks to smash Florida’s poor

The Tallahassee Democrat reports Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo wants to smash fracking in Florida. The actor will reportedly join a conference call with the group Floridians Against Fracking tonight to talk about the group’s campaign to ban hydraulic fracturing in the state.

During May, a bill to outlaw the practice died in Florida’s legislature, but a new statute will be introduced soon in hopes of lawmakers trying again. Seven years ago, Ruffalo joined other entertainers to urge New York to outlaw fracking in which Governor Andrew Cuomo did by executive order five years later. Shortly after doing so, it was revealed the research used by Cuomo to justify his declaration was based on junk science since the manuscript Cuomo utilized was authored by anti-fracking activists.

When all is said and done, the greens and celebrities (like Mark Ruffalo) opposed to fracking will go back to their nice, comfortable homes complete with all of their luxuries and fossil fuel powered heating and air conditioning while the average person in Florida suffers similar what happened to residents of New York’s Southern Tier after fracking was banned in the Empire State. After all, it is a lot easier to oppose access to cheap, affordable energy when you have a lot of money and think you can tell other people how to live.
