“Tiger King” Animal Park May Have Closed Due to PETA Pressure

The USDA has suspended the operating license of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park that has resulted in the facility having to close. The park was owned by self-proclaimed ‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic, respectfully, and its management alleges the suspension was due to pressure from People for the Extortion, Torture, and Abuse of human beings (PETA).

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Wynnewood Zoo announced on Tuesday the closure of the old zoo effective immediately.

In a Facebook post, Jeff Lowe says he is forfeiting his USDA exhibitor’s license.

“The very agency that has given my facility five consecutive perfect inspections has now folded to the pressures of PETA and continue to make false accusations against me,” the post read.
