Wind turbine manufacturers, like Siemens Gamesa and General Electric, are in a bit of a pickle. The quality of their products are turning out to be really bad and, consequently, a large amount of warranty claims are plaguing insurance companies a short time after windmills are erected.
Even though wind turbines are being built to larger scales, their construction is still relatively weak. General Electric now realizes this and is reducing their size and scale. However, it may be too little too late since lots of warranty claims can result in insurers that underwrite them to go bankrupt and the Biden administration made it possible.
