PETA really stands for People for the Extortion, Torture, and Abuse of human beings. It should be noted that PETA’s founder, Ingrid Newkirk, not only has said many horrible things about humans, but defended animal rights philosopher Peter Singer’s position on bestiality (i.e. You can have sex with them but you can’t eat them). Yet the group considers milking a cow as being equivalent to rape.
