Former Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA and Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Dr. Roy Spencer recently published a report he conducted for the Heritage Foundation where he analyzed temperatures recorded temperatures over the last 50 years, and compared them to those computer programs forecasted. The report is summarized in a post Dr. Spencer authored on the WattsUpWithThat website.
His overall conclusion is that flawed climate models have engendered warmer temperatures than those examined. For those who like well researched science, Dr. Spencer’s study will satisfy. But what he is ultimately saying is, instead of relying on computerized models, scientists should go to areas that they seek to examine and collect their own samples including culminate their own authentic data sets.
Some time ago and pre-climate crisis, Dr. Spencer delivered a very good lecture on global warming prior to it being considered part of public policy.
