During an appearance on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” today, Democrat California Attorney General Rob Bonta had difficulty justifying his lawsuit against ExxonMobil.

Bonta’s office filed a lawsuit against ExxonMobil yesterday, accusing the company of misleading the public about the effectiveness of plastic recycling and its advanced recycling initiative, which involves breaking down old plastics into their molecular components for use in new products. During the interview, Bonta had a hard time justifying the lawsuit and was also confronted by one of the hosts for being hypocritical about jet fuel, as he appeared to have flown to New York City for this week’s Climate Week NYC.

It is good Bonta was called out. However, he will be unphased since the rules don’t apply to him and he knows it. Rules for thee but not for me.
