Right after assuming the presidency, Donald Trump issued an executive order stopping all fresh or extended approvals, permits, leases, and funding for wind energy developments on land and at sea.
This action at the time blocked the ongoing Lava Ridge Wind Energy Project, which aimed to cover a section of southern Idaho with unsightly wind turbines. The decision has delighted Idaho residents. Nearby communities were fully against it, yet the Biden administration’s eco-subsidy crew persisted in pushing forward.
Currently, the Department of the Interior has fully revoked that authorization for a project that the bureaucracy ignored the concerns of area residents.
