Earlier this month, Nova Scotia announced a ban on hiking, camping, fishing and use of vehicles (like ATVs) in the woods resulting from an elevated wildfire risk that are being attributed to climate change. Consequently, it will result in a huge blow to the nation’s tourism industry. Oddly enough, camping in campgrounds is still allowed but try getting there if you aren’t able to use trails in the woods. However, violations can result in fines up to $25,000.
