Around this time last year, Eco-warrior Emma Smart tried to free a crayfish by stealing it from Catch at the Old Fish Market in Weymouth, Dorset England.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the restaurant’s co-owner, Sean Cooper, said that the lobster wasn’t on the menu and was in the display as a pet also used for educational purposes. Unfortunately, the Daily Mail says not only did the lobster die due to her mishandling it, but the second one in the tank passed away resulting from loneliness.

Not surprisingly, Emma Smart has doubled down on what she did and further asserts she is the victim of a witch hunt resulting from her being held responsible for what she did and her recently being convicted of the crime she committed. Furthermore, Smart didn’t even express any remorse for the demise of the two lobsters.

Animal rights isn’t about the humane treatment of animals but is really about the animalistic treatment of humans and that includes animals humans use, not only for consumption, but also domestication. Emma Smart is also a biologist and this also goes to show even the most educated can make the stupidest decisions.
