Arizona’s Election Results Are Certified And Are Final. Or Are They?

After waiting for weeks for the results to be finalized and despite numerous controversies in Maricopa County, Arizona’s 2022 midterm election results were finally certified today. However, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich made a very interesting remark during the certification event for the media (hint: It’s not just the John F. Kennedy quote):

Mark Brnovich is going to great lengths to distance himself from the election results. I have talked to people I know who have lived in Arizona for quite a long time, one of whom has lived in the Copper State since the 1980’s, and have paid close attention to state and local politics, including the recent midterms. They said an Arizona official has never said that before.

The Attorney General initially denied any vote fraud occurred. But with this remark, he is obviously having a change of heart and it might have something to do with the demands he made to Maricopa County that, so far, have gone unanswered. In short, Brnovich’s experience with Maricopa County may have forced him to realize something is seriously wrong.

Unfortunately, Brnovich is leaving office and cannot litigate any potential legal issues that might have come about and no doubt his Democrat successor will sack any effort Brnovich would have attempted. But Brnovich obviously knows something is up and it will be interesting to see what happens resulting from the lawsuits filed by Kari Lake and her Republican colleagues.
