A few days ago, a lawsuit was filed faulty electric wires owned and operated by Hawaii Electric as being the cause of the Maui wildfire. Videos obtained by the Associated Press taken by a resort employee and his neighbor were released today that seem to verify the plaintiff’s allegation showing a downed, live electric wire as the potential cause.

While the politicians were given ample warnings and solutions long before this tragedy that could have prevented it, not surprisingly, they and some in the media chose to blame climate change for the blaze. Maui residents are outraged at the Hawaiian and federal government’s response and have a right to their anger. Biden, on the other hand, is scheduled to visit Maui on Monday. However, he may regret it since some residents have openly said they don’t want him there.

If you would like to somehow assist with relief efforts in the Maui area affected by the blaze, CBS News has compiled a list of groups who are rendering aid you can contribute to.
