The elites know no bounds in whom they can condemn from their ivory towers and are now coming for burners. Below are two examples of their disgusting mindset regarding the calamity that just occurred at the yearly pagan-oriented, hippy festival Burning Man as communicated by two left-wing organs.
Even though the propaganda … er … news outlet admits that a single storm can’t be linked to climate change, WaPo says (emphasis mine):
Once an underground carnival for free spirits, Burning Man today is famous as a party spot for Hollywood stars, Silicon Valley tech bros and other jet-set elites. The latest event offers a glimpse at how extreme weather can — and more frequently will — dramatically transform the environment in a moment’s notice.
Gizmodo says (emphasis mine):
First, a half dozen protesters demanding stronger environmental commitments from the organization blocked the festival’s entrance for roughly an hour before they were forcibly removed. Days later, torrential rain — the kind of event made more likely and extreme by climate change — stranded revelers in a dystopian free-for-all. But the greatest irony of all may be Burning Man’s less-publicized opposition to renewable energy in its own backyard.
Gizmodo takes their condemnation further claiming the burner‘s yearly event emits 100,000 of carbon dioxide annually and even goes so far as to highlight the New Mexico climate cultists who caused a traffic jam along a Nevada highway only to be forcibly removed by area tribal police as a way of saying you were warned.
The 10 Principles of the convention certainly have what could be described as a libertarian sub-text, but that is only on the surface. Especially given the event organizer’s R.I.D.E. Pledge that includes a commitment to equity and inclusion.
The main thrust or basis of Burning Man is a kind of left-wing anarchism and that even includes nods to environmentalism too. However, in this case, elitists are now trying to cancel or somehow condemn Burning Man attendees in order to render them to a status similar to Deplorables in an effort to force burners to conform to the elite’s green utopian ideals.
In short, the communicated narrative is: The misfortunes experienced at this year’s Burning Man are the participant’s fault and burners greatly harmed Mother Earth that, consequently, brought her wrath on them. Not a hint of compassion or remorse is expressed for burners who could contract any number of potential hygene-related illnesses due to exposure to toxic alkali in the mud where burner encampments were located resulting from the rainfall nor even for the burner who died. Sure, burners knew the risks, but people do not experience calamities of this magnitude very often and this kind of public condemnation does no good for the elite’s cause.
Ultimately, the yearly festival has probably been through far worse. But it is clear the media or cultural elites are attempting a prudish exercise trying to assert some sort of control upon an annual event by berating participants who gather annually to have a good time.
