Munich airport was temporarily closed by authorities today after six climate cultists with the group Last Generation broke through a security fence and then glued themselves to access routes leading to the airport’s runway.

The Associated Press reports the misfits were protesting the German government’s downplaying of the climate crisis including air travel as one of the most polluting forms of transportation. Consequently, the AP says 60 flights were cancelled while incoming flights were re-routed to other airports. The six culprits were taken into custody in which the incident lasted a couple of hours.
