This must be due to Trump’s response to the Maui wildfires. No, wait!
An unhinged former staff member at the University of Kentucky floated the idea that the death and destruction Hurricane Helene unleashed on red states was divine retribution for their residents’ support of former President Donald Trump.
“Hurricane Helene…what if GOD is punishing MAGA populations for their hate and hypocrisy? Works for me!” Betsy Packard wrote Sunday in a heartless post on X punctuated with a winking emoji.
It gets better with Betsy Packard. She also said the devastation caused by the hurricane was an act of God.
This guy doubled down on this video.
He later posted an apology but tried to make excuses. Two cheers.
A sundown town that this evil wench mentions is a term liberals use to describe a city where Black people can’t go out at night or they’ll be killed. It’s actually cities like Chicago, Detroit, and New York City (all run by Democrats) that meet that description. As an aside, Asheville, North Carolina that was hit very hard by Helene is known as the San Francisco of the South.
After her video went viral, she deleted all of her social media accounts but was later terminated from her job. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
This weirdo is really a calling for Trump supporters and other who don’t think like her to be slaves. Similar to the Leftist talking point about Ayn Rand accepting Social Security.
Ideologues like these deranged whackos are not misguided nor are they the exception, and they are truly evil. Their reaction is largely due to their hatred of people who not only do not think like them but, unlike them, are well grounded. These lunatics’ lives are so boring and meaningless, they spend their free time hating on others instead of doing things to improve themselves, and take their failures out on others who are successful.
