Nearly 800 environmental justice grants initiated under the Biden Administration at the EPA have been terminated. Reuters reports this action was revealed in a recent court filing and nearly doubles the previously reported figure. The move significantly reduces funding aimed at supporting progressive activism, climate initiatives, and addressing alleged racial disparities.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is in the process of canceling almost 800 grants, including all aimed at promoting environmental justice, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing comments by an agency official in a court filing.

The number of grants slated for cancellation is twice the amount previously reported, the Post reported. The filing marks the first public acknowledgement by the agency of the total number of grants slated for termination, the newspaper reported.

The newspaper cited a document filed last week in a federal court case in Rhode Island. The case was brought by a coalition of nonprofits who challenged the Trump administration’s freezing of billions of dollars in grants that were authorized by Congress under climate investment and infrastructure laws passed under previous president Joe Biden.

“EPA is in the process of sending out the formal termination/cancellation notices to all of the impacted grantees,” EPA career official Daniel Coogan wrote in the filing.

Naturally, mainstream media and climate cultists portray this decision using the usual spin as one that will endanger minorities, women, children, and those identifying as such, by exposing them to harmful environmental impacts.

However, Elon Musk made an interesting observation with Fox News host Jesse Watters that environmentalists used propaganda to cover waste, fraud, and abuse, using an animal like a baby panda to make an effective analogy.

None the less, these are the kind of anti-American activities supported by environmental justice grants.

The environmental justice movement was a contemporary regressive effort that began in the early 2000s. It was founded based on the notion that low-income and minority communities are unfairly targeted for industrial waste and pollution sites that many ended up working for the EPA.

However, they were political activists and not employed for substantive work. Trump’s new EPA head, Lee Zeldin, not only terminated the climate zealots and now their programs have been, rightly, eliminated too.
