As 2026 arrives, consumers are increasingly committing to authentic products and a positive sign that Europeans have not capitulated to the will of the global elite yet. In spite of efforts by global influencers and major media outlets, people are opting for genuine meat and dairy while rejecting synthetic beef and insect-based proteins.

Following extensive promotion of innovative food technologies, evidence suggests that the public isn’t embracing what the specialists are promoting. Recent developments indicate a resurgence in traditional food choices for 2026. For starters, Ÿnsect—previously Europe’s top insect-protein manufacturer—has effectively gone bankrupt, unable to obtain the funding required to sustain its business and implement its reorganization strategy.

Even in Holland and Israel, lab grown meat companies in those nations went belly up and two European countries took action related to lab-grown meat products.

Hopefully, grocery stores will return to their roots providing consumers with real meat and dairy products instead of fad or unicorn ideas. There’s already indications that the U.S. government is gearing up to make this happen.
