You couldn’t make this stuff up even if you tried. But, not surprisingly, WaPo went there.

In his battle to clean the murky waters of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, President Donald Trump has tried draining, painting, hydrogen peroxide and what the Interior Department describes as “high-tech nanobubble ozone technology.” But he has seemingly overlooked two of the most important factors that experts say are driving unsightly — and sometimes dangerous — profusions of algae: pollution and climate change.

Algae thrive in warm, still waters, causing populations to explode as global temperatures rise, said environmental engineer Steve Chapra, an emeritus professor at Tufts University.

Meanwhile, rampant human development has increased the amount of fertilizer and sewage produced by farms and cities, and severe storms intensified by the warmer atmosphere are causing more of these pollutants to run off into local waterways — providing algae with the nutrients they need to grow.

However, the Pravda on the Patomac missed something while reporting on the science.

Media outlets, like WaPo, did not report, underreported or misreported the awful situation down at the southern border when hundreds of thousands people entering the United States illegally almost daily. This includes the tragic deaths of people, like Laken Riley, at the hands of violent illegal immigrants. WaPo and other media outlets also tried to cover up Joe Biden’s numerous problems. Such as losing his cognitive abilities and making any number of mistakes he made (like his slurred speech).

But, when all is said and done, the The Washington Post had to join in the chorus to get a jab at Trump about the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool’s algae making the cause out to be climate change because they hate the President more than they love America. At least we got some comedy relief out of this.

Then again, WaPo could have published this to give beltway liberals something to talk or belittle Trump as well. He could cure cancer and the media would cheer the cancer rather than give the President credit.
