One of the many issues I have raised are efforts on the part of environmentalists to indoctrinate children and young people. Since the mid-1990’s a number of critics have given attention to environmental education. Dr. Michael Sanera and his wife Jane Shaw have been at the forefront challenging environmental education programs on the state and local level. They have asserted that such educational efforts are biased, inaccurate and misrepresent the facts as part of indoctrination efforts. In 1996, the couple published a book entitled Facts, Not Fear: A Parents’ Guide to Teaching Children About the Environment. The book has been reprinted numerous times and gives a factual overview of environmental issues of importance today (such as global warming).
Dr. Michael Sanera taught political science at Northern Arizona University for 17 years. He was president of the Arizona Institute for Public Policy Studies, and was founder of the Goldwater Institute. He is presently an associate professor of political science and public administration at Yorktown University and a senior fellow and Director of Research and Local Government Studies at the John Locke Foundation. In 1997, Dr. Sanera gave a lecture based on his book at the 15th annual conference of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness in San Diego, California. In his excellent speech, Dr. Sanera exposes the doom-and-gloom green-based propaganda education that instills fear in the minds of kids which results in terrible psychological outcomes. You can watch the lecture in its entirety for free here.
