Arizona quack wages war against vaccines

Jack Wolfson has decided to differentiate himself among his colleagues. That is if he is a physician at all. According to AZ Central Wolfson has taken it upon himself to (in his mind) speak out against vaccines and instead promote homeopathic (i.e. snake oil) medicine. He also says that instead of vaccinations, people should get infected with a virus instead. Wolfson states doing so helps build our immune system along with getting enough sleep, eating right, taking vitamin supplements and getting proper nutrition is the key rather than using chemicals.

“I’m a big fan of what’s called paleo-nutrition, so our children eat foods that our ancestors have been eating for millions of years,” he said. “That’s the best way to protect.”

He is obviously referring to the Paleo diet which has been refuted by nutritionists, most recently in Australia. Also Wolfon is a cardiologist so I gather from his field of expertise that vaccines or immunology may not be his strong points. However, for any doctor to forgo the practice of medicine for homeopathy is unspeakably wrong if not outright evil.

Vaccines do have risks associated with them but the benefits of taking them far outweigh the risks. Doctors like Jack Wolfs are really quacks since they sell or endorse snake oil medicine rather than scientifically tested and validated treatments for diseases like vaccines. Environmentalist groups also have influences in the anti-vaccine and homeotherapy movements in which this should be indicative of the other snake-oil science they sell too. A person’s right to not vaccinate ends where my microbes begin.
