Anti-GMO protesters seek to reduce human population

This past Saturday thousands of people across the world participated in a global event to speak out and protest against the mega-agribusiness Monsanto and the products it makes. They allege the company is manufacturing genetically modified foods (GMO’s) and pesticides that are harmful to humans. The protests are the result of a campaign spearheaded by environmentalists which is part of their efforts to outlaw or rid the world of GMO’s. In order to exterminate humans the best way to do it is to slander not only companies that manufacture GMO’s but also the pesticides used to protect them.

Fewer manufactured food means a higher likelihood is that people will starve and die of hunger. While the alternative pitched by anti-GMO activists is organic food, what environmentalists leave out is that organic food cannot be grown fast enough to satisfy human nutritional needs. As the below video points out, using organic methods on farmland would only be able to feed two-thirds of the world’s population. It’s easy to protest GMO’s when the ones doing it aren’t going hungry and have access to lots of food. The below video is an episode of Penn & Teller’s Showtime series Bullshit! This segment goes into the GMO controversy and points out the lies told by environmentalist groups, like Greenpeace, about them.
