Animal rights activists clashed with police and firefighters earlier this month after a truck carrying nearly 700 turkeys overturned on A38 in Wychbold, Worcestershire, England. The vegans claimed that the animals could not be slaughtered for food because many were damaged or scared by the crash (possibly true).
