Environmentalists Harass Newly Re-formed Quebec Energy Group

Environmentalists on Monday morning disrupted the convention in Montreal of the Association pétrolière et gazière du Québec, which has recently rechristened itself the Association de l’énergie du Québec.

Some protesters glued their hands to the doors of the conference room to denounce the name change, which they call purely cosmetic.

Protester Anthony Garoufalis-Auger said he wanted to “unmask” those members of the industry who “want to give themselves a different image so people will think they’re part of the solution.”
