PETA tries its best to troll in order to gain publicity while also claiming to allegedly call for the humane treatment of animals. For example, 3 years ago PETA successfully convinced Nabisco to change the design of its animal crackers box so the featured animals would no longer appear in circus cages, out of some ridiculous sense of attributing their conditions as tantamount to slavery.
Now PETA is back except they’ve gone full-blown woke. Their latest campaign is to eradicate speciesism, which is the conclusion that humans are superior to animals. The group sees this vantage point as a form of supremacy and they are reviving an effort they tried during 2018 to change language and terms. PETA recently tweeted:
“Words can create a more inclusive world, or perpetuate oppression.Calling someone an animal as an insult reinforces the myth that humans are superior to other animals & justified in violating them.Stand up for justice by rejecting supremacist language. pic.twitter.com/HFmMWDcc5A — PETA (@peta) January 26, 2021“
Somehow, PETA has the inside tract on how animals feel and if their feelings are hurt resulting from words and phrases used to describe them. Like was mentioned before, PETA has already tried this, except it was suggested and they’re probably going to be more insistent in people using their newspeak. One of their representatives was interviewed by Tucker Carlson on Fox News during 2018:
