Two years ago, Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit to try to obtain records National Institutes of Health from 2021 to 2023 and turned up some intriguing information. According to The National Desk:

The lawsuit turned up records of payments totaling $710 million from private pharmaceutical companies going to the NIH, including royalties to its scientists during the pandemic as treatments were being developed and licensed.

Andrzejewski and his organization, Open the Books, say that a large chunk of that money, $690 million, went to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. However, it has not been disclosed how much of that was paid to scientists as royalties. The lawsuit turned up records of payments totaling $710 million from private pharmaceutical companies going to the NIH, including royalties to its scientists during the pandemic as treatments were being developed and licensed.

What was paid to NIH scientists is still not known and Fauci denied receiving any royalty payouts while asked about the royalties during a Congressional hearing about the COVID-19 pandemic.

The government transparency group Open The Books reviewed the findings of Judicial Watch’s lawsuit.

None of this looks good and shows the depth of corruption at federal health agencies due to the fact that the NIH stands accused of initially trying to hide information about royalty payments.
