By now, many of you have learned of Joe Biden dropping out of running for re-election. From The New York Times:

President Biden on Sunday abruptly abandoned his campaign for a second term under intense pressure from fellow Democrats and threw his support to Vice President Kamala Harris to lead their party in a dramatic last-minute bid to stop former President Donald J. Trump from returning to the White House.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” Mr. Biden said in a letter posted on social media. “And while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

Even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is not thrilled with Harris at the top of their ticket and the so-called Vice President has a little under a month to consolidate her power in order to clinch the nomination or she could face an open convention when the Democrats meet in Chicago, Illinois on August 19th.

Ironically, the Democrats obviously applied enormous pressure to push Joe Biden to bow out. Former George W. Bush White House special assistant Scott Jennings hilariously noted the irony of the Democrat’s coup a few days ago during a panel discussion on CNN.

The Democrats tried to pull out all of the stops to block Donald Trump from running for President again and, fortunately, they failed at nearly every turn. Shortly after Joe Biden bowed out, a super PAC supporting Donald Trump released this political ad correctly pointing out Kamala Harris owns Joe Biden’s awful record.

There have also been questions raised about the legitimacy of Kamala Harris’s citizenship status. Hopefully, a legal group will file a lawsuit to settle the matter.
