A entertaining article on the current state of DEI practices.

Girls In Tech, a nonprofit dedicated to recruiting women to the tech industry, was a Silicon Valley darling, with major companies eagerly partnering with the group after its 2007 launch.

But in a single week in late 2023, five key donors pulled their funding, citing market turbulence.

To stay afloat, the group’s founder, Adriana Gascoigne, considered merging with Women Who Code, a nonprofit with a similar mission backed by corporate giants including Microsoft, Google and Boeing. Days after she floated the idea to members of her board, Women Who Code shuttered.

Around the beginning of the month, Women in Tech published an article making a very weak case describing how climate change negatively affects women in the technology field. The wokeism in sectors, like technology, is the result of efforts on the part of hedge funds, like BlackRock, pushing it in the private sector. Thankfully, BlackRock’s influence is wanning and support for woke ideas, like DEI and pushing climate change policies, is down significantly.

Organizations, like Women in Tech, are nothing more than grifters. They may be among the most racist and sexist, individuals you’ll come across because they consistently prioritize race and sex in every interaction, while effective practices should aim to minimize the focus on the two categories.

Too bad. So sad. Bye bye.
