On Thursday, multiple climate change disruptions broke out at the Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) last week at the party’s forum for chair candidates at Washington, DC’s, Georgetown University. The disruptions were spearheaded by the Sunrise Movement and were significant enough that the MSNBC moderators had to ask the activists in the audience to cease their interruptions with many activists having to be forcibly removed.

According to Politico, the protests were so disruptive during the DNC event that event moderator, Simone Sanders-Townsend, in a sarcastic tone, urged any remaining protesters to stand up and interrupt all at once, saying, If anyone else feels the need to disrupt, please stand up and do it right now. However, the cultists didn’t stop, continuing to disrupt the proceedings resulting in the candidates becoming visibly frustrated.

On the surface the Sunrise Movement makes itself out to be an organization of peaceful young activists fighting for a Green New Deal. In reality, the organization serves as a route to extremism, instructing young activists on exploiting personal and collective hardships for political advantage. Another example of how environmentalism is child abuse.
