Earlier today, one person was injured resulting from a wind turbine blade slipped from its mount on a tractor-trailer traveling along a Maryland interstate, triggering a crash and causing hours of traffic delays over miles, reports say.
The incident temporarily shut down Interstate 70’s westbound lanes near I-81 and two eastbound lanes in Hagerstown, Washington County, leading to major delays, per the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).
The blade hit the I-70 guardrail around 5:30 a.m., veering off and extending into the eastbound lanes.
