Two days ago, a group of females from the Citizens Arrest Network confronted Anglian Water CEO Mark Thurston as he headed to work, performing a citizen’s arrest for public nuisance.
Video from group captures the women encircling Thurston outside Coulsdon South station, blocking his path.
According to the Evening Standard, the women accused him of up to three public nuisance charges, including environmental harm and sewage spills that threaten clean water access, as well as equipment neglect and fund mismanagement.
The group held Thurston for nearly an hour until British Transport Police arrived. The women provided police with evidence, and Thurston was subsequently released.
While I am not an attorney, it’s questionable the ladies were legally able to encircle Mark Thurston since that might constitute entrapment or maybe even kidnapping. Hopefully, Thurston can sue the ladies or Citizens Arrest Network for some sort of mental or physical cruelty under Great Britain’s liability laws.
The women in question are more concerned about pollution or climate change than the surging rape offenses against women in Great Britain in the last 5-10 years. Just goes to show their warped priorities or they are wealthy, liberal females who have become political activists in order to feel good about themselves.
