Despite environmentalists aversion to technology, they’re in favor of it if it is used for their purposes. When it comes to smart cities, they’re all for it. Smart cities are a means of being able to regulate and control people using massive amounts of technology with a faceless, technological infrastructure or AI program used to monitor someone’s every move, including when it comes to people’s carbon footprint. Karl Marx would be so proud.
