Dr. Peter Ridd has dedicated his career to studying the Great Barrier Reef, beginning his research in 1984. Over the years, he has developed various sophisticated scientific instruments and authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. Following his dismissal from James Cook University after voicing concerns about scientific quality assurance standards, Ridd has continued his work on a voluntary basis without receiving compensation.
