Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of the Islamic terrorist attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001. During the events at the memorial ceremony at Ground Zero, videos showing New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez laughing have, rightly, sparked backlash online.

Not surprisingly, shortly after this was revealed, someone crawled out of the woodwork to fly cover for the two. Never mind, of course, that even if other politicians were doing the same thing doesn’t make it right.

What’s worse is that there are a large amount of people who have been undereducated or not fully informed of the events that took place that fateful day and it goes all the way down to the school system.

The footage of the two laughing should be heavily used in campaign ads. However, Mamdani and AOC are the symptom of a larger problem. Not only due to foreigners being let in who do not share the values of the United States, but also ideologues who seek power by any means necessary.
