If climate change were an extinction emergency, nuclear would be the obvious fix: dense energy, low emissions, better safety than the myths. Activists still treat it as forbidden.

This isn’t a pitch for nuclear. It’s an explanation of the contradiction. The public case is fear—Chernobyl, waste, scary. The real incentive is different: a movement built on permanent crisis doesn’t gain from a source that could actually replace fossil fuels. Renewables keep the fight going. Nuclear could end it.

Follow the money—oil-family philanthropy, climate funds, firms that invest in fossils while funding anti-fossil campaigns—and the debate stays locked: oil vs. wind and solar. The option that could break the stalemate is ignored.
