It’s often been said that politics makes strange bed fellows and there is an alliance of the purest evil converging among groups of like minded individuals totally dedicated to mankind’s suffering and death. A well researched and written article written by Samantha Allen at The Daily Beast details an alliance or convergence of ideologies between anti-vaccine and anti-abortion organizations.
As many of you may have heard by now Planned Parenthood is caught up in a controversy surrounding some videos taken of representatives of the group allegedly admitting that they sold body parts of dead fetuses. The footage was taken by activists connected to the group Center for Medical Progress (CMP). As it turns out, Allen reveals, one of the two activists who took the videos, Theresa Deisher, is not only against abortion but also opposes vaccines.
Theresa Deisher is not only connected to the rabidly anti-abortion group and CMP funder Operation Rescue but also mentored her male counterpart named David Daleiden. In 2009 Deisher revealed her theory about the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine in an article for the American Life League. In it she posited that the MMR vaccine was developed partial by fetal tissue research is also a cause for autism.
Theresa Deischer felt so strongly about her conclusions that she started her own anti-abortion biotech company, AVM Biotechnology, pitching the idea that vaccines made without fetal tissues could be manufactured. Simultaneously she started a non-profit to educate the public about fetal tissue in commercial drug development and research. AVM also claims at its website that because of the usage of fetal tissue DNA in vaccines autism rates skyrocketed. In 2014, Deischer was the lead author on a study published by the Journal of Public Health and Epidemiology that advanced a similar theory. Despite the manuscript’s publication being considered a win by anti-vaccine and anti-vaccine groups, the study was discredited in the scientific blogosphere and even by Catholic scholars.
The purpose of science is to understand the workings of the natural world through testable hypothesis and observation. Medical science exists to preserve and enhance human life of which the root philosophies and groups that inspire and support the anti-vaccine and anti-abortion movements amount to nothing more than ideological offensives against mankind who seek to sacrifice humans in the name of their esoteric crusades. In the case of Theresa Deisher and her group purposely used the videos they took of Planned Parenthood representatives to misrepresent what the group does with aborted fetuses, they are also simultaneously furthering vaccine denial.
The whole affair surrounding anti-vaccine sentiments isn’t just limited to environmentalists, it is also being fueled by religion. Author and philosopher Ayn Rand once said: Every major horror of human history was committed in the name of an altruistic motive. Another major horror will be the result of a campaign of vaccine denial since both anti-vaccine and anti-abortion groups are not only anti-science but also anti-life.
