People for the Extortion, Torture and Abuse of human beings (PETA) sent their infamous Community Animal Project (aka death squad) to Houston, Texas just in time for the afternath of Hurricane Sandy. The animal rights group has the gall to call their CAP team a rescue team.
Last year, an ex-employee revealed PETA has had a history of regularly killing in neighborhoods around the country. They have even been accused of lying to people who turn over animals or former pets to the group to find people to adopt the animals. A blogger points out activists with their slaughterhouse on wheels were busily driving around seeking and euthanizing healthy animals they determined were un-owned. The CAP was accused of killing healthy animals in Louisiana when storms occurred there last year.
The reason why PETA kills animals is disclosed at their website. It discloses the group euthanizes dogs and cats because doing so helps them escape an uncaring world without trauma or pain. In reality, PETA deems domesticated animals as un-pure due to human contact since they consider animal ownership a form of slavery. In PETA’s view, the fewer animals for human enjoyment and companionship the better so as to make life for humans as miserable as possible.

What a truly heinous accusation to make about people who are risking their lives to help in the aftermath of a a disaster. PETA has saved dozens of animals from slowly starving or drowning to death. They are taking the rescued animals to shelters, work in their local community, PETA is not a traditional animal shelter. They operate one small shelter—a shelter of last resort for animals who need euthanasia to end their suffering (many of whom have been rejected by other facilities).
