Climate change policies kill the most vulnerable

Since Christmas Eve is tomorrow, this video reveals the blunt truth about the destructive effects of basing policies on studies that conclude human activity is the cause of climate change. It is the poor and elderly who bear the biggest brunt of skyrocketing energy costs resulting from attempting to replace fossil fuels with so-called clean or green energy sources or enacting carbon controls.

Like the below video points out, the effects of climate policies like being used in some parts of Europe and in states, like California, result in prohibitively expensive energy bills for poor and elderly people. The very people the Left claims they want to help are forced to choose between taking into account the cost of their energy bill and keeping warm.

  1. you obviously must disapprove of the VAT then because that makes things even more worse for the poor. and has no beneficial effects of reducing emmissions

The thing you missed of course is the whole of the taxation system. If it overall progressive then you point is entirely misleading and thus wrong.

  2. My views on tax policy are not relevant to the issue raised in this post. The consequences of replacing fossil fuels with so-called renewable energy sources (like wind and solar) are disastrously harmful to the poor and elderly. The very vulnerable people the Left claims to champion.

  3. of course it does. Perhaps you do not understand the claim you are making. It is per se about taxation policy. you are claiming one set of taxes in particular are bad, It is as stupid as you saying VAT are impacting on the poor in particular. A person needs to look at the overall taxation system as I said. You are also saying fossil fuels doe not have externalities. This is another absurd claim.
Given the externalities fossil fuels are/were not priced at their true cost.

    • No, you are attempting to make a claim not relevant to the point of the post. You are also attempting to start an argument by putting words in my mouth or jump to conclusions and I won’t let you do it.

      • Mate, you either do not understand what the hell you are writing about or avoiding the very issue you claim to be concerned with.

      • I understand fully and I also understand your attempt at trying to steer the conversation in another direction or attempting to start an argument. In short, I’ve seen your blog posts and have a good idea of where you are going with this. I wasn’t born yesterday as your point is secondary to the overall moral outrage you seek to downplay or distract from.
