Weather Channel co-founder and outspoken climate skeptic John Coleman passed away today. Coleman was in the broadcast media business for 60 years and in 1983 he was awarded the American Meteorological Society as Broadcast Meteorologist of the Year. For the last twenty years of his career he was the weatherman for San Diego television station KUSI.

John Coleman was brave, brash and bold when few dared to be on the issue of human induced climate change. Thanks to his standing in the news media it gave him the opportunity to be as the kind, cheery, friendly old man who was daring enough to be belligerent and abrupt to elites in the mainstream media.

Below is his 2014 interview with Megyn Kelley on Fox News that helped put John Coleman back in the spotlight. Rest in peace, John. You were an inspiration for everyone.
