Help is on the way with the coronavirus and it may be here sooner than people think. Reason states COVID-19 vaccines made by Moderna and Pfizer and BioNTech are close to being released and both are running about 90% or more effective. In the coming months, both companies will produce hundreds of millions of doses and will soon petition the FDA for emergency use authorization to distribute their vaccines.

However, Reason also points out, as opposed to Pfizer/BioNTech’s that must be transported and stored at -94 degrees Fahrenheit, as opposed to Moderna’s vaccine which can be stored at -2 degrees and can remain effective at 35 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit (which are home refrigerator temperatures) for a month. Unfortunately, the storage temperature of Pfizer/BioNTech’s immunization makes distribution complicated.

Once made available, states at a variety of levels are planning for distribution. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has worked out agreements with a variety of major, national supermarkets and pharmacies to dispense immunizations.

President Trump was laughed at for his claims about the speed of the research and development of the coronavirus vaccine. Now it is Trump that has the last laugh and has earned bragging rights. Surprisingly enough, CNN even praised the president for his accomplishment. Unlike Joe Biden, President Trump has earned another term in the White House and here is hoping he returns to the Oval Office next year.
