This excellent ABC (Australia Broadcast Corporation) News report from February bluntly shows many Congo citizens (including children) work in hazardous cobalt mines that extract the metal for Chinese manufacturers who make so-called clean energy products for virtue signalling western elites. The New York Times reported around the same time that ABC‘s report was broadcast this year, that one Congo mine is no longer under Chinese control resulting from a court case involving Congo’s government not being paid mining royalties by China Molybdenum.
