The prominent British medical journal Lancet announced a shift in their focus and it is literally Earth-shattering to them.
So essentially humans are no better than any other life form on Earth and when it comes to health decisions, the needs of the planet will become paramount. In short, they’ll have no problem killing people off because humans (except them) are such a cancer. It gets better.
The revolutionary shift of perspective called for by One Health is based on the more progressive axiom that “all life is equal, and of equal concern,” the journal proposes, which means “addressing pressing health issues at the human – animal – environment interface.”
Such a shift “requires a complete change to our relationship with animals,” the Lancet asserts, which is why the journal recommends transition “from an animal-based diet to a plant-based one, which not only benefits human health, but also animal health and wellbeing.”
In its revolutionary proposal, the Lancet suggests that the life of a human being is not necessarily worth more than the life of any non-human animal.
They’re essentially downgrading human life (except theirs of course). That is the basis of the ecological equity the Lancet has embraced. This is very serious and can lay the groundwork for some very bad results. None the less, if the people in charge of the Lancet now believe human lives are not worth helping, then they should lead by example.
