Using climate change as the excuse to groom children.
A fifth-grade teacher said she is being investigated by the Florida Department of Education after she showed her students “Strange World,” a 2022 animated Disney movie featuring a character who is biracial and gay.
Jenna Barbee, a teacher in Hernando County’s Winding Waters K-8 school, told her story in a widely viewed TikTok post over the weekend.
“I am the teacher that’s under investigation with the Florida Department of Education for indoctrination for showing a Disney movie,” she said.
Jenna Barbee claims that she had permission slips signed by parents consenting her to show the film. But one of the parents, who just happens to be on the school board and who’s child attends Barbee’s class, later reported the teacher to Florida’s education department. The film she showed is entitled Strange World that shows a gay romance between two teenagers.
However, Barbee says she chose the movie since it had some sort of relation to her environment class. But it isn’t so much that she got permission from the parents and the controversial element of the film, it is that Barbee did not get authorization as to which movie she could show. Barbee showed the film in an attempt to push LGBT propaganda on students. She was intentionally reckless with school policies and procedures using the environment or climate change as the excuse to do this. That isn’t just wrong, it’s evil.
