Beyond Meat was pitched by its CEO as a climate conscious alternative to meat and now the demand for their product is way down showing that it was nothing more than a passing fad. Thankfully, the company is not going out of business. But despite the issues their products (like high sodium content, limited shelf life, and prices), they do serve a segment of the market that likes alternatives.

The only way that products like Beyond Meat will really overtake meat is for the entire meat industry to be destroyed. That is something the climate cultists and animal rights terrorists have been trying for years and have no intention of slowing down. This reason alone is why they must be stopped.
